People with nothing to do tend to try and tell others what to do.
I have a neighbor that hates me. Shortly after he bought his house the fire department showed up and made him put out a small camp fire that he had going in his yard. The fire department told him that the call came in from my house. We have an in-law apartment on our house and my father in law has NOTHING to do all day so he called the fire department because he did not like the smoke. There was not much smoke at all but he has nothing better to do but get in peoples business.
So my neighbor thinks it was me that called. I tried telling him it was not me but he thinks I am lying. To add insult to injury he has made friends with my father in law but wont speak to me.
I read this and wonder why people buy a home on wheels and then go to the same place year after year. If I get a bad neighbor...haven't had one in eight years......I would move to another campground. Lots to see and do. I guess some like going to the same place year after year. I feel badly for your and would tell your father in law to fess up. I would think your significant other would back you up. Best of luck to you.
