I would like to thank you all, we have done some research and contacted several dealers.We Initially wanted HR Vacationer XE 32A, unfortunately we haven't found any unit that would be readily available in the configuration we wanted (especially with dual-glazing) and thanks to you guys we got good support from the recommended dealer even thought we probably will not be able to make a business with them.So we widened our search and finally arrived to Winnebago Sightseer 35G which i just yesterday sent configuration request for to Camping World, but here is the question as we are going with factory order and were promised delivery in mid March, is this realistic ? And should i try to contact other Winnebago dealers for competitive order ?And last thing what do you think about our choice, we decided purely on layout and Winnebago reputation.The unit we ordered is on 22k chassis with 26k GCWR and 22k GVWR we will toad Wrangler 2door Shara. Any comments are welcome

The timeline given you sounds very unreasonable, as busy as the RV industry has been, unless they just happen to have your exact coach on order with all the options you request for stock. Sounds like a case of the old adage describing a car, boat or RV salesman, "If his lips are moving, he's lying." I'm not a big of of Lazy Days in Florida. They are the "Biggest RV Dealer in the World" ask their internet sales department, how long it would take to get the RV you want. Biggest suggestion I can give you is check their service record before and after the sale. A good place to start is RV Service Reviews

Ask for confirmation of the final delivered price, and there are no laws demanding you pay ANY added fee's other than taxes and registration. Some will add on thousands for transportation. Dealer prep, documentation and even your pre delivery inspection. All of these are just ways of concealing the real price of your unit.Taxes and registration should be paid to the state where you will be basing it, not necessary at the state where you buy it. I would also make your offer contingent upon the unit being road ready at the time of your arrival.

You're getting a new, built to order class A and they promised it in 6 weeks? Does that seem right to you? Obviously not, because you've asked the question. I would certainly get a second quote. If I remember correctly, you'll be in hotels in the US until you get in your coach and start your adventure, yes? Think about the cost of an extra month in a hotel waiting for delivery.Also, with a new coach, you'll need to stick around the dealer's area for a while to get things fixed that the factory leaves for the dealer to do. Think about trying to schedule that into Camping World in April and May when everyone else is pulling out their campers for the season.IMHO, you'll be doing well if you get on the road by the summer.

six weeks delivered? not ever going to happen. sales people talk a lot. and then can,t deliver.

more I think about this, find a very good used rv, it,ll have the bugs worked out, be ready to roll. and a whole lot less money. and find a local rv tech to check it over. there faster , better service than a dealer and come to you.

getting another RV from another lot is not that dependable. most RV lots are independently owned and they are not like a chevy or a toyota dealership that can get another car from another dealer 500 miles away in two days

We didn't order a Winnebago but when we did order our motorhome it took around 9 weeks. Let me tell you those will be the longest weeks of your life. LOL :D We ordered in Dec. and it was at the dealer towards the end of Feb. Yeah I think this time of year when they are gearing up for summer that mid March is wishful thinking...
Be sure when you order that you go over the options several times and give yourself some time to think about it. There are still options that I wished we had got and some I wished we wouldn't have wasted our money on. Our biggest mistake was getting the queen bed instead of the king bed that was just dumb on my part. Why we paid the extra money for the outside TV I will never know, we never use it... So be sure you go over the options carefully and take time to think about them..

One other thing if you do order and have the choice , go for the larger chassis much comes with that choice......also as you have discovered camping world is the go to place if you need a sewer hose in a hurry ... but

With boats it depends, we buy new ones for our charter business but i bought used ones for myself in the past so i know how that goes.

Just sent mail to the sales person in CW asking him about this and am curious what the answer will be

As you have moved up to a Beneteau. You will find coaches are the same. Did you buy the Boats new? If so then a few bucks and time is understood. There are many floor plans and tweaks on the same ones. I’m sure something will stand out again. Good luck in your search !

I think we will end that way .... as all this i am seeing is just ridiculous ... but we really fell in love with that layout .... but hey i used to love sailing Catalinas and now am on Beneteau :-)

Well here is another interesting twist to the story.

I just spoke to another dealer (LichtsinnRV) who is about a mile from Winnebago factory and they told me that 35G is discontinued and cant be ordered anymore,

So the CW telling me that they had to request new config sheets, then making me to fill them was just load of b.... .

Now i am so annoyed with this i am thinking of scrapping the purchase and stay on the boat.
