Softer ride on 2011 PW Excel

When my 2011PW was delivered a couple of weeks ago, the fellow who brought it said he liked the For E359 better than equivalent because you could make the ride softer. I should have asked how because I cannot find it in the book. Any help?
Bob
  • He's probably talking about the rear air bags, and letting out air to soften the ride. I don't know if PW put them on all the Excels.
  • I'm sorry I but it really don't understand what you're saying except its about a softer ride.

A very common, and easy to fix, problem is tires inflated at pressures in excess of what's really necessary. Ideally you would weigh the rig in a "trip ready" condition then determine the best tire pressure. Lacking that, does the owners manual talk about that? Is there a sticker on one of the door posts about tire pressure? In the glove box perhaps?

If this isn't what you're talking about, please restate your concern.

I'm presuming you meant to write Ford E350. He may have experience with a Ford E450 (normally on Class C motorhomes) that have stiffer suspension to haul a heavier load. E350's are what used to be called a 1 Ton and the E450 is a 1-1/2 Ton chassis. Or you may have some optional air suspension that can adjust ride quality. :)
