Source for metal tire valve stems

I am replacing all of the tires on my Class C. I want to buy the metal valve stems to take to the shop to be sure I get the stems I want. What is the best source for me to order them?

Thanks in advance,

Bobbo

  • Hi Path1,

The ones I use are solid metal and do not require extenders.

Did they just fit in or did you drill out hole just a little tiny bit?
I was going to put in longer stems but afraid of interfering with getting outside tire off (didn't want to take the chance of bending longer stem on inside tire when removing outer tire)I do use "gator caps" because of better quality seal IMO. Mine are on steel rims if that makes a difference.
  • When I had new tires put on this year.
I asked for truck type valve stems.
My Alcoa wheels would not let them do that.
But they did install longer metal stems. No extra cost.
    Purchased from Best One Tire.

I'm pretty picky about my valve stem extenders but what is the difference of valve stems beyond OEM? Never had a valve stem failure other than putting some lock tight on one than kept coming loose.
Is one type brand or type better than another? (Always gotten valve stems at tire dealer).
