Spare Tire
We carry a spare unmounted tire with our motor home as we have done in our previous motor homes. We have Coach net service but have never called them. Is it difficult for them to find roadside service...

Does anyone else carry just tire and has used roadside assistance to change their tire.

I use to carry the 19.5" tire/wheel in my other RV, now I just carry the 22.5" tire. Reason is it's much lighter and I've seen professionals go at changing a tire with two tire irons and have it off and the spare back on in a matter of minutes. It's really simple. Then to set the bead, they just wrap a ratcheting strap around the tire, tighten it up, and it'll hold air and set the bead. I carry a ratcheting strap now just in case.
I HAD GS for a couple years and they let me down a couple times. I've also used Coachnet a few times over the years and I'd trust them with different situations much sooner.
Jim, cut 4 pieces of 2X8 about 16 inches long and put it in the head of the spare with a cloth between the wood and bead. If it has to be mounted, the head will seat itself. No strap or ether needed.
