The plastic one on the rear rhs is for the ECU. It has a single bolt with a 13mm head holding it in. It is fitted to all MD's and is not adjustable. You would have shift problems and the transmission fault light on if this was faulty.
The screw in speedo sender is on the lhs. Depending on the type it may be adjustable.
I have 2 sending units of some type held into the transmission by the 13 mm bolt as you have described. The ECU was rebuilt last fall and the problem started happening just prior to the ECU going out. I am trying to find the part numbers for the sensors that are on the tranny.
