Splendide 2100XC load question

I know the manual says something like 12lb load. I have know idea how much that is. My question is....can you load a queen sheet, fitted sheet and 2 pillow cases in the 2100XC without overloading it? Is this load ok? Thanks
  • Yes. However my wife usually dries one sheet and a pillow case at a time. It seems to actually be faster and the sheets are less wrinkled. If you want to see what 12# of laundry looks like, get on the scale. Now get on the scale again with a handful of laundry. The difference is what the laundry weighs.

Yes, the DW does both queen sheets and both pillow cases in our 2100. She will do all of the various towels and white clothing in one load. It helps to take clothing out after the high speed spin and fluff before drying... less wrinkles. If you take the perm press out while damp and hang to finish drying you will not have wrinkles.
  • for a minute I thought Splendide was a motorhome brand that really went cheap on suspension.. only allowing 12# payload ;-)
  • With queen sheets, she should be able to put a couple towels/ wash cloths/ t shirts in the same load. I do king size sheets, and still have room left for other stuff.

As others have said, take things out after washing, shake them out, and dry stuff individually, and use dryer balls.
  • We switched from cotton sheets to micro fiber ones. They do not get heavy when wet...they dry super quick... they are cool to sleep on because they don't take on sweat like a cotton sheet will.

Get the best ones you can find because the cheap ones will "pill" and shed.

and one other tip... I ditched the fitted sheets and only use the micro fleece blankets for the bottom and top sheets. So much easier to make the bed. At least for me it is.
