splendide washer replacement hoses

I need to replace my 2002 splendide combo washer supply hoses. the original hoses are 8' long and from what I read have a 20mm female 90 degree fitting to the machine and regular fitting to the water supply. Has anyone replaced their hoses and do they have to be 8' long.

    I bought replacement hoses at Lowes or Home Depot. They weren't anything special but my unit is a 1994 unit so maybe things have changes. I bought the metal sheathed version which should last "forever". They certainly are not 8 feet long!

    Bought some recently after being advised the regular hoses may leak,Others have said they had no problem with regular hoses. They were expensive, about $90. My thread is here.

    washing machine all use the same hoses buy a pair at lowes home depot etc and no they sure as heck don't need to be 8 ft long unless for some reason someone put the supply taps a long ways away
    you can buy steel braided 5 ft ones on amazon for 15$ each

    The reason the hoses are that long is so the washer can be pulled out and connected.
    Probably don't need to be 8'

    My 2003 Splendide used a hose that had metric threads on the washer end. US hoses would not fit that machine.
