Squeak Noise Rubber Seal Cab Chassis ?

Anybody else have that squeak dry rubber etching noise ?
Setting in the drivers seat the piller/panel where the seat belt is bolted to I have been able to pull the panel back abit and spray some WD40 with the little red tube and get it to quite down , but then it comes back.
We have an 2001 Gulf Stream Conquest Sport 22ft on the Chevy Chassis.

We just went today and test drove a 2013 Nexis Phantom with 10,500 miles. 23ft on a Ford Chassis and the same noise coming from the same area !
We went to another RV place and drove a 2010 Coachman Freelander 21 with 4,300 miles on a Chevy chassis. It didn't make any noise from that area at all...

So is anybody else getting the squeaky noise ?

Hope I'm describing it right...
  • Depends what is producing the noise, but I use Shin-etsu grease on door seals to help eliminate the squeaks from dry rubber on the metal door frames. May help in your situation once you track down the source of the squeak. Just did this to my wife's 2001 Lexus and it is quiet as a mouse again.

  • I have not driven a lot of class C's. My GS has those squeaks. Nexus is being managed by some Ex GS people. What I can say is I do not have any leaks.
  • I don't know your particular situation but I've used brake fluid to stop rubber squeaks. Maybe put some in one of those pump oil cans to squirt it. Be sure it doesn't come in contact with plastic. Good luck..
  • I would if I knew where to stick it..lol No pun intended there... I can't see up inside the metal boxed in area behind the panel.. Did you have this problem and fixed it by doing that?
  • if you go to home depot in the roofing isle there is a roll of tape call u seal its the same as dyno mat 16.00 use it to get the noise gone
