State Farm gave me ERS for $10 per year!

So I've been looking at Coach-net and Good Sam ERS. While doing this I decided to call my State Farm agent whom I have everything insured with.

He said $10 per year per RV (I have 4 RV's) and I get ERS, free towing to my nearest repair facility, gas delivery, etc. I signed up all my RV's.

Have any of you guys used this?

  • I have State Farm Insurance and a Coachnet contract. Yes State Farm will tow your RV.
Our motorhomes have never been towed THANKS to Coachnet.

What State Farm does NOT have is a help desk like Coachnet to assist with RV problem determination. CoachNet has helped me 100's of miles from home get the MH started and self repaired so it did not have to be towed.
Another time on a weekend they called local RV part locations and found a replacement Xantrex inverter charger for me. They found the part about 15 miles from my campsite. Also gave me contact information for the closest repair facility if I needed onsite help with repair.
Earlier this year they also sent a mobile repair mechanic truck many miles to diag/repair air parking brakes after a mouse had chewed an air line. Parking brake was locked on so it could not have been towed.

    Never leave home without CoachNet.
  • I've had State Farm for years and my agent has not mentioned this coverage other than I have some puny towing coverage that I believe has a dollar limit that would not cover the cost of towing my beast.
So I have Coach Net. One of the benefits of Coach Net is they are supposed to have the ability to help you find the best options for service wherever you may be. In the age of internet, maybe that is not such a big deal.

I will check with the agent to see if some new coverage options have been added.
  • I'm interested to see howe good the Sate Farm ERS really is. Sounds like amandasgramma is happy with it.
  • Wow that is cheap and I thought my AAA premium with 100 mile towing and all the other perks was cheap @ $39 a year as an add on to my other coverage.
  • Same here with Erie but I think I pay $5 a vehicle.

I used it once for my old motorhome. I got stuck in sugar sand along the highway in Wilmington, NC. I called the NC highway patrol and asked who they call for large vehicle towing. They wanted to know if I was on the highway. If I was they were going to send a trooper out for traffic control. A huge Peterbuilt wrecker showed up. He winched me out of the sand backwards. He charged me $100 which I paid him in cash. When I arrived home I sent my receipt to Erie Insurance. In a week I had a check for full reimbursement.

In 39 years of RVing I've saved $1000's.
