stay away from carbureted?

I have been looking at "bargain" class C's and have found some nice older ones. looks like 88 and older fords are carbureted. but there are a few nice ones. that to me is the only downside to them. some of the older ones look good, nice and clean. but would you stay away from the old carburetor? i have found a nice rallye that has a 350 chevy. 87 rallye chevy power

also an 88 ford 88 ford with 460

  • Depends where you live and register it. I would most definitely stay away from carburated unless you have the money to replace it from the get go or it will never pass emissions.

Older Dodge Class C's with a carb are the worst. I tried helping a fellow Rv'er in California with a Dodge carb and got no where with it. They ended up junking a beautiful MH because it never did pass smog.

There are 'many' newer ones out there without carbs for around the same price. IMHO JMHO
  • They made carburetors for 100 years before they made that Rallye. I think they had it down by then. There's nothing wrong with a carbureted engine.
