Still looking-but question?

I am deciding on an older small class c right now,but because of my chronic severe back problems I will need something comfortable to sit on evenings for tv and plain relaxation. I would like to remove the standard bolted down swivel chair and replace with something moveable and more comfy...it's a small 24' unit..chair won't be used for riding in!!..any suggestions? How do you remove them but leave it useable for replacement for resale? Won't be traveling except to local parks..15 mi..so I can secure it for those short trips. Janalee

  • XXjannaleexx I'm in the same boat as you as far as a bad back and have been thinking of just putting my air chair recliner in my coach. It folds nearly flat and it works easily and more importantly comfortably. It also locks in position.
  • Yes..I see your point Dusty--flying objects..I am thinking about an office type chair..wheels and maybe will lean back a bit. They r made for comfort too!
  • I would still anchor the new chair down so it can't move especially if you should stop quick.

  • Hi toedtoes...yes..it is on a large round pedestal..not box.I think the carpet may work! Will post if I actually finally buy this one! An '89 Jamboree Searcher..very low mileage and the cabover completely rebuilt by Rv pro. If not for this expected storm,I probably would already have it..! Janalee
  • Is the swivel chair on a raised box (many are) or is it directly on the floor of the MH?

Since you'll be putting another chair over that spot, I would think you could leave the connectors that hold the swivel chair, and place a rug (if the floor connectors are flush or near flush with the floor) over them and under your new chair. Or if the connectors are taller, get a new chair with a skirt to it to hide the connectors. Since the chair is over the connectors, you won't trip over them.
