Try have to use nitrogen
That is exactly right. Even the pneumatic tools used are run by nitrogen. Click here 1gvols wrote:
Nice factoid. I think it is just easier to roll in for the week with a few nitrogen bottles vs the logistics of a compressor.
NASCAR will not allow a air compressor in the Pits
I assume NASCAR uses nitrogen in pit row also. Otherwise the pit crew could never change tires that fast using plain air in the jacks and gun. ;)- 1gvolsExplorerTry have to use nitrogen

as a auto shop owner I see cars come to my shop every day with tire pressure light on when it gets cold outside tire pressure drops with cold air and increases with warm air nitrogen is more consistent pressure do I put it in my veicles yes do I think its a scam no
Same here. I'm a shop owner. Nitrogen doesn't leak out as fast and pressures remain more consistent. We charge 5 bucks a wheel. If you don't want it, don't buy it. It's your $200 tire. If it runs low on air, we can get you another one. I run it in all my vehicles.
Do not confuse me with the facts, the 17 minutes it would take to watch all of the video would take too much of my valuable time selling nitrogen in tires.
Using dry air would be more important to me than using nitrogen. In 12 years I have never gotten any water out of the two air tanks on my DP and the reason I use the onboard compressor to top my tires off. At 8 years I change the filter on my air dryer and not because I was getting any moisture... your mileage may vary and I do not change my engine oil every year. - J-RoosterExplorerThanks, Sailor Lou and AZ Andy for the explanations!
- Home_SkilletExplorer IIAnother scam is, tire shops selling you TPMS sensor rebuild kits when you buy new tires.
They last the life of the vehicle!. - usersmanualExplorer

Apparently NASCAR is able to defy the laws of physics :R
NASCAR uses pure nitrogen in their tires (from the NASCAR website): "The reason NASCAR tires are inflated with nitrogen, rather than the normal air we pump into our tires, is due to the increased stability under hotter temperatures that the gas exhibits. It allows the tire pressure (50 pounds per square inch) to remain constant throughout the race regardless of the temperature, which can reach 200 degrees Fahrenheit."
nascar does not ever put 50 lbs in the race tires the reason its used(nitrogen)it has no moisture content and there for is more reliable when it comes to tire getting hot and not increasing in ap past what that tire in that position needs for that particular car set up unlike regular air that varys a lot more) - dadechilExplorer

If you have virgin ears you probably need to pass on the following video and the 10 reasons why Nitrogen in tyers is a SCAM. This Aussie presents some very good FACTS.
Virgin ears alert.
WOW I love this guy. Nothing like a few inconvenient facts to dispel the nitrogen theory.
