Stinky water in bathroom sink

Okay. I'm ready for all suggestions on this topic. When running water in the rear bathroom sink, the water is enough to mag a gattot. The water in the 1/2 bath and kitchen sinks are perfectly normal. If you have an idea AND a solution, PLEASE let us know. It is a 2015 Fleetwood Expedition. It is going into Lazydays for warranty work and HOPE they can find it.

  • If you are running the bathroom fan, it may be sucking air back up through the Ptrap when the water runs. Or, you may have a bad air admittance valve under the sink. You can easily change the latter yourself for much less than a dealer will charge you to do it.

If neither one of those seems to be the issue, try thoroughly sanitizing your entire water system. There may be something growing in a section of water supply line near that sink, that got missed during sanitizing.

I know we get alot of strange smells sometimes from our bathroom when we have the bathroom exhaust fan running... I suspect that is being pulled up through the pot however as it does not use a P-TRAP...

Also being a pig farmer back in my growing up days on the Southern Illinois farm sort of got used to all the smells haha.... (Whats the problem haha)

  • Air admittance valve under the sink? When you run water it somehow opens the valve...
Or, the lines going to the sink have an alien organism growing in them?
I'm just guessing, please let us know when you find the cause.
  • Are you sure it is coming from the 'water' and not coming up out of sink drain ???

Pull 'P' trap and clean out the gunk
  • Sometimes you just have to drain all water tanks (hot & cold) and re sanitize.

We have had a sulfur smell when it sits in the hot water tank for too long. Re-sanitize.
  • Hot or cold. Doesn't matter. We were on the road for 6 months using it every day so it wasn't from sitting. If Lazy Days finds it I will post it on here to let y'all know.
  • if it is in the hot water only it is from the hot water tank. mine does that when it sits for a few weeks between trips if I forget to drain it don't know what causes it maybe there is a chemist out there that can answer that?
