If I was going to be turning my storage bays into a man cave then I'd be concerned with stained carpet. But since they are for storage I don't care much. Mine are carpeted and while I have pulled everything out and vacuumed them out, I could not tell you if they are stained or not. Never really looked. I personally would take the carpet over the rhino lining as it keeps stuff from sliding.
