storage compartment

Question

I need another storage compartment under the frame.
I see I can buy the compartment replacement doors, but where can I find the whole unit. I know I will have to cut out a hole in my bottom skirting.
they will look like a large glove box.

look at various rvs at dealers and get some ideas as to what one/size/manufacturer you like and check with the mfr.bumpy

Give EBay a look. Lots of different doors with frames available.

thanks,  just looked.  there are many doors,  but I need the compartment behind the door also.   wish I could find a RV junk yard around Sacramento

On my motorhome, at least, the compartments themselves appear to be built as part of the overall RV structure, and not really individual prefabricated modular units made by some other company.  Something like an angle iron and 1/4" plywood box ought to work decently well and not be too tricky to construct and seal from the elements.
