storing dinnerware

I'm probably the only person who travels with Royal Doulton stoneware. I bought them 40+ years ago when I first moved out of my parents house and except for the soup bowls which broke years ago I think I've got all 8 place settings and serving pieces still.
When we moved them to the RV we got a roll of that waffle anti-slip pad and cut squares to go between each plate or bowl. Even with the old 5th wheel that caught air with a few really horrendous potholes bypassing Boston we never lost a piece. The air bag suspension in our A will be even better.
