We were camping at Bronte Provincial Park in Ontario and there was a Police department from nearby Toronto doing some training in another area of this park.
Part of their police training must have been navigating a route through our section of the campground late at night and as I was walking our two beagles at the same time, I am sure their howling ruined any element of surprise they may have been expecting under the cover of darkness.
A May 24 long (DRY) weekend at a conservation campground outside Dunville, I was returning to our campsite from a garbage run only to be blocked getting back to our trailer by a convoy of police cars and police suv's (lights OFF) and more police on quads who had shown up to evict a high school graduation party that had grown much too big.
Again while walking our beagles, I passed the evicted campsite in question and they were still loading the back of the park pickup truck with HUNDREDS of empties.
Mike.
