OK have a couple that actually happened to myself. Returning from a seven month Navy activation in 2003 I decided to take a mini (ok maybe not so mini) vacation, 22 days. So traveling from Camp Pendleton to Charleston, SC I was doing a little tent camping. I stopped at a KOA campground for the night near Mount Rushmore, now there where maybe three other campers in the entire park. They where situated out near the hills surrounding the big open plain. Where did they place the one guy in camp in a tent, smack in the middle of the plain. Wind whipped all night with a few flurries, not best sleep I have gotten!
The wife and I bought an older MH, 22 foot and I was in the process of fixing it up. Rebuilding the bathroom, repairing roof leak, fixing exhaust leak, etc, etc. Had not had a chance to paint our coach. Wife's nephew was getting married down in Florida, so made reservations at a new RV resort that caters to class A coaches, pricey but very convient to wedding venue. We finally arrived at our site and pulled in between to beautiful DP coaches. At that moment we felt like the Beverly Hillbillies. We only met one of owners but they were super nice folks that made us feel pretty welcome.
