I have recently had issues with the BlueOx Patriot Braking System. It has applied the brakes in an emergency fashion, as though the breakaway function was activated. The breakaway device was not even installed. BlueOx was no help, denying any culpability or reasoning for the action. I was wondering who else may have had this experience.

I though your topic was "Supplemental BANKING system" and it really got my attention. My wife accuses me of having selective "old age" hearing, but now my eyes! I am getting old! I can't wait for the Alzheimers now ... then my mind will forget I even wrote this!

The unit works by inertia so if the road was rough, or you hit a large bump, that could be the reason for the brakes to be applied.

Although mine is not a Blue OX, when I first got the toad I found that laying directly on the floor with the seat up against it, it would sometimes activate the brakes as it was leaning forward.I now set it on a short piece of 2x6 board that raises it up and it contacts a better part of the seat. That keeps it level and eliminated the issue.
