Synthetic oil change-over

My big question is when is a good time or mileage to switch over to synthetic? i have heard many different mileages/times. Any good thoughts? I currently have 13000 miles on my C-7 pulling a heavy race car trailer. I am thinking the rings should be seated by now. I will be using Royal Purple full synthetic 15-40 which is diesel rated.

I've had good luck with Shell Rotella and Delo both. To me, Royal Purple is both over priced and over kill. JMHO and it cost you what you paid. LOL

Old school was you needed to let the rings seat first. Does not seem to be a issue now. Either way your safe to convert now.

Corvette's come from the factory with full synthetic, so I see no reason not to right now.
