tail lights

would anyone know the make of the tail lights on a '80 delta 'C' class. We just bought it and prior it went through a hail storm and the tail lights are just pieces of plastic, or maybe a replacement light that would cover the screw holes.

Thanks in advance
Jim

  • Interesting, I could not find a replacement tail light lens for our old Delta rig. I did find a repair kit to fix old cracked lens. There may be a few suppliers in Elkhart, Indiana, where rig was manufactured, that have parts for Higgins Delta rigs. You will need to do some detective work for parts that are peculiar to the rig. BTW, we had the original owners manual but it was generic to various models and did not have wiring diagrams for the house box or detailed maintenance information. Recommend you buy a Chilton's or other manual for the correct model and year of the van part with same engine and drive train.

BARGMAN made lots of RV lights and still does.

If any of the fragments say "Bargman" or parts of it or "59"/"84"/"85"/"86" then you've got it.

They have "details" tabs on the website that provide cutout dimensions.

Upgrade to LED if you can. It's better to get complete LED assemblies instead of LED conversion modules. With assemblies you do away with the pesky socket connections, and assemblies may also add up to less expensive than a full set of conversions.
  • I have no idea of the answer to your question but thank you for bringing back great memories of our first rig, a 70s something Delta on a Chevy chassis. The interior was really cool: shag carpeting and the ceiling has fake beams with plastic stained glass looking lights recessed in the beams. Thanks for the memories of long ago.
