Obviously some people have had a good experience, while others, not so much. My problem, is a company that won't stand behind their product when there is a problem. If what the OP says is correct, and we have no reason to doubt his story, Taylor dropped the ball, IMHO and I would think twice before I used them. I want a company that will stick by their product when there is a problem.
Spark plug wires are electrical items. There are very few electrical components that are warranted at all. Most have a no return policy when it comes to electrical parts. The OP also did not mention how long it took for him to put the 5000 miles on those wires. One month, two, a year????
Taylor sells all types of wires and the "Extreme" series is rated for locations where heat is a problem. The "409" series is less expensive and obviously cannot handle the heat in the OP's application.
