Tecna toilet not holding water

Al, does it get pumped down the drain, or gravity drains down. I ask, because the toilet is like a big P-trap (no pun intended), and water would at least stay up to the level of the top of the pump unless it is leaking from the pump. There is a check valve before it goes into the 2" PVC routed to your tank, but it should hold water in the bowl even if that was bad.
