Tell me more about 303

I used 303 once on our previous motor home. As stated it worked fine on the gelcoat area which was acturally the front and rear cap. Any painted surface which was the rest of the coach and was not gelcoat it made it look like the side were just primed. Looked awful and what made it worse was rubbing the sides out to get it back to the shine I originally had. It was a lot of work. Now it may be good for vinyl, rubber or gelcoat areas but that's the only place I would dare use it. JMHO.

I contacted the company, here is their response:

"Thank you for contacting Gold Eagle Company. 303® Aerospace Protectant can be used on Gel Coat fiberglass finish. We recommend applying 303® Aerospace Protectant instead of wax, since they can't be used together as they would repel each other. 303AP would have to be reapplied 3-4 months for very sunny conditions up to 6-8 months (seasonal) for less sunny environments. If applied properly, rain or regular washing will not affect the coating. Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions."

In my experience, 303 is a coating to make the rubber and vinyl shine once it's wiped-off. I prefer the natural black tire look, not the shiny, black shine. So, after trying many products, I settled on Greased Lightening spray cleaner, then rinse with water for that beautiful, natural showroom clean black, matte look that represents the tire as cleaned without a plastic coating look that attracts and gathers dust and dirt, as well as rinses off when the tires get wet from rainwater. Another home remedy for exterior plastic vent shrouds I discovered last year quite by trial and error is pure liquid bleach wiped and rubbed on these surfaces like hatch canopies and your refrigerator and stove gas vents on the roof. It cleans like magic any dry, brittle and stained rooftop vents that are plastic.

Formula 303 makes long line of products.

I have been using 303 protectant since 1996 on everything. Car, truck, boat, motorhome. outdoor furniture. Great stuff.

Thanks for that. So it seems that the same company does make it in a wax.

My last coach has stainless steel siding, so no formula needed, but when I had fiberglass siding, yes the whole thing got sprayed.
303 is also good water repellent on boat windshield, while on motorhome windshield I prefer RainX
To add more, 303 is leaving some greasy residue, so if you use it on vinyl seats, wipe it well after about 1 hr.

The manufacturer is in the county I live in, but from what I check, their warehouse charge for the formula more, than our local automotive auto parts chain.
If you have fiberglass coach, I would advise to order 1 gallon bottle. You will love it.

I also use it for fiberglass whirlpool in my house, but have to wash greasy residue before filling up with water.
They don't recommend it on paint, but I was spraying my boat trailer and it shined dull paint.

Just to be clear, you use it on the whole coach and it works fine?

Now they "specialized" the formulas (I guess for bigger $$)
