The biggest reason that tenters are looking for those sites is for the electric. Back in the day when we tented (mid '80s-early '90s) no one had electronic devices that needed recharging. Now people live and die by them. The state of WI has been upgrading a large number of unimproved sites in the state parks with electric for exactly this reason.
