Thanksgiving!

We went to our favorite campground for Thanksgiving. We are thankful to have a class C because........... our entry door will not open, from the inside or outside. I was out, came in and closed the door. Later, I wanted to out and no go on the door. Glad we had cab doors to use. With the screen frame in the way, I couldn't get the inside plate off. I think the spring broke. So I took it into Sonny's RV for repairs. Reputable Christian people that have done some work for me before. I was afraid I would tear up something.

Also found a small leak on the drain fitting for the fresh water tank. Tightened it and it is good.

Thanksgiving was great with camping friends and hosts. Thrilled to be able to camp in late November.

  • I had a problem with a sticking, but not broken, Trimark paddle-type door lock mechanism. Contacted Trimark, the tech e-mailed me adjustment directions. After some fiddling, I got it working again, haven't had a problem since. Needed a deep 7/16 socket to adjust it as I recall.

Sounds like you had a good time and the door latch failure didn't discourage you. You probably have a TriMark latch, a certain model, that has a cheap pot-metal part which breaks and locks you in/out. Search function will reveal it.
Hopefully Sonny's knows where to drill it from the outside so it can be opened, then removed, replaced.
It's happened here before, and somebody'll probably have more details.
