When you speak of the control board, have you taken it to an electronics repair shop in Mexico? They can take it down to the lowest level and replace just about anything.
We recently had a board go out on an old television. Fixed for 180 pesos. The board was no longer available. These guys know how to test and repair. A board is a board no matter if it´s from a television, stereo or an rv. Worth a try and nothing to lose.
