The folks who painted the coach (and strongly urged me to get the Diamond Shield) charge $400 to remove it.
I would feel safe in saying that if any harm came to the underlying paint, they would handle that at no cost to me.
And as to the "get it or don't" debate, as Hilary would say " At this point, what difference does it make?"
