The Verdic is in, New Ford 7.3 V-8 Gas mpg not so Great

5.5 to 6.1 mpg while pulling a load, looks like the new 7.3 V-8 gets about the same mpg as the 6.8 V10.. Different motor same mpg, looks like the gas motorhomes are still stuck with bad mpg.. ...

Yea Tim, I would of thought that 10 speed tranny would of made some difference, but like they said they couldn't get into max overdrive with that load. I'd like to see a test with a more realistic load. The other issue is they lost a little power and mpg by going back to port injection. There have been serious issues with direct injection. I think I'll keep my diesel. Don
