Thermostats replacement

My class C motorhome came with a standard White and Rogers thermostat. Seems to work OK except it seems to be sensitive when it is jolted in any way by me working near it or even walking near where it is mounted. It will kick in the furnace at times when it shouldn't as if the temp has dropped. I have checked the wiring and all seems to be connected securely. It just seems to be a cheaply manufactured unit to me. My question is, is there anyone who has replaced one of these units with a better one, preferably digital, and if so what brand and model did you get. Thanks
  • As an owner of a 2011 Thor 28A are you sure your butt does not have something to do with your issue?

Lord knows I has bumped that thing more than once and surprise!
  • I have installed the 42999b just as j-d did and it works very well.

But they are not around any more, unless you want to spend $99. I got a spare on Ebay for $25 just in-case this one went upside down.

It looks like the 43054 may be the replacement for it.
  • I used this one:Lux brand, model DMH110 (non-programmable).

    Lux DMH110

Cool features include a backlight and adjustable “swing” or hysteresis.

The price online varies wildly, but I found that HomeDepot had it on their website for $17, free shipping to store.

    Works great!

A number of us have installed Hunter 42999B, a simple digital non programmable powered by two AA batteries. These WERE available at WalMart around $20. May still be, in store. There may be info here in the Tech Issues forum. A Search will reveal results.
