Thinking of buying this... your thoughts

After seeing a few a/c units removed from the top by tree limbs----I love my basement a/c unit.....every spring when the a/c guy comes to check our house he checks the DP basement unit.....claims its pretty simple and has never been a problem for me.

If you buy this unit or something similar to it, you are going to need practice driving it. I'm not real familiar with vehicles from Europe except that they seem to be really small. American motorhomes are HUGE and it takes awhile to adjust driving them.

The 35U is a great floor plan. One of the best IMHO. I would buy it.

We love our 02-35u and have driven it for 10 yrs with no major problems. We have looked over the years and cannot find any floorplan that fits us better. The V10 pulls our Honda CRV very well, so we are just going to keep it. You will not be sorry, GOOD LUCK!!!

as our toad using a tow dolly. It's just FWD do should
be no problem. The car weighs roughly 3,500lb.

well it has a fiberglass roof which separates it from a lot of the units out there. the dealer was asking $35 K for my 1999 chieftain 34Y last fall.
walmart sells a portable/automatic dish with receiver for about $342.

In the first picture it looks like the owner installed Air Tabs on the Moho. Just wondering if it has a handling issue. I would not want basement air. Eats up a storage bay and not so easy to work on.

Just traded in my 2003 35U. Put almost 80k miles on it. Worked well for us.
This coach looks to be in good shape. Thats about book price. As long as there are no motor/trans problems, basement air works, no leaks, no awning tears, looks like a good deal.
If you plan to travel, you will likely want to tow a vehicle. That involves getting the correct car, hitch for car and mh, and braking unit and lights. I bought the hitch, brake unit and lights from Camping World and had them install it, cost over $2200. Just another cost to be aware of.
Also, if you are in to TV, check into DirecTV or Dish. You will need a satellite dish for them. I had CW install a dome dish and loved it. Almost $2k tho.

I see it is on a Workhorse chassis. They are out of the MH business. As far as that chassis.
It will have the Chevy Vortec 8.1 engine. Will have the Allison 1000 transmission 5 sod or maybe the next step up with the 6 sod trans and grade braking.
Gushing it will be on the W22 or W24 chassis. See if it has the Bosch brakes. If do make sure they have been updated. They had Bosch brake problems on the W20/22 chassis.

We had a 2001 Adventurer 35U on a WH W20. Liked our Adventurer very much.
Only big problem was the basement A/C unit. You need a good home heating/cooling service to repair it. Most dealers will call one themselves. Rather than work on it.
