^^^ The wareanty comment, I believe, came from the fact that this started as a warranty repair but the OP was left with the bill as it wasn't fixed before the warranty ran out. On that one I'd be looking for coverage as the priblem started while under warranty and it's not yet fixed.
As to the issue itself, Doug has it right. It's just a hydraulic system, and a pretty basic one at that. It should be an easy fix - if you know what you're doing.
