So what makes you sure what you've recently purchased is any different, did you analyze how these were manufactured in comparison? If the rods were pushed back into the cylinder wouldn't there be a visible discrepancy from the other rod if the threads backed out? Not to mention it should have felt pretty sloppy when extending to hook up if it's was about to fall apart. Also the toad probably wouldn't track straight which should have raised a flag.
I'm not trying to be difficult, but there are many of us who have this system and if your making these claims it would be nice to now exact details instead of just shrugging it off. The only failure here is understanding where the problem is.
