Thor 22E and price you've paid

Hello,

We are new to RV and looking to buy new unit. So far, we've found that Four Winds 22E or Freedom Elite 22E service our needs.

The dealer we've been corresponding with had quoted one for $59000. However, I've seen on rvtrader.com same 2014 or sometimes 2015 units have been offered for as low as $49,999

If any of you had purchased Thor 22E model (Four Winds, Chateau, or Freedom Elite) in the past, could you please share how much have you paid for it, before tax? It would really help us to get an idea how much should we pay for it.

Thank you.

Thank you for input Arizona Kid. It's disappointing that people on the forum prefer to withhold price information. Especially, taking into consideration, the number of complains about dishonest salesmen have been posted here.
Perhaps, if people would be more open to talk about the RV prices, the future buyers would have advantage over dishonest salesmen.

  • Thank you Johnnyrv and Oregon2 for your information and suggestions. We are aware that 22E is stripped down model, but it is with in our budget.

I would like to find out had someone paid less than advertised price of $49999?
  • They were selling for $49,999 at the RV show in Pomona, California last September - pretty stripped down model.

Have you looked at Nexus Phantom 23P - very similar, $59,900 -- but a lot of standard features included at that price like Onan generator, power driver seat, awning, etc. They also usually have a used one on their website if $$ is a concern. I was about to pull the trigger on a 22E when I ran across the Nexus. I wanted a traditional dinette and they were the only ones that would build one that way. Ask for Loren there if you have questions.
  • Several camping worlds in Florida advertise the 22e for $49,999 as well as rvone in Orlando. Check for leaks in the cab over bed before buying.

    I appreciate your reply.
Since you've got it out of state dealer, did you have any issues with warranty services in TX?

    Thank you.
  • In 2010 I got a full loaded 2011 Thor Fourwinds 25c for $60k drive off. But I got it at a dealer in Albany,NY, Albany RV. I live in Texas but after 5 hours of flying I picked it up and it was worth it, the cheapest locally was I think $72k. You can find good deals if your willing to go the distance.
