Thor Pallazzo

Looking at the web site and this looks like an impressive small coach. Looking for comments on the coach and on Thor, how do they match up to Tiffin or Winnebago?
Thanks

  • Was in one recently and absolutely LOVED it!

I agree about the tank size though. Really wish they were larger. Not much more capacity than what I have in my current TT.

Has anyone driven one or ridden in one yet? Would love to get some feedback on how the ride and handling are...

Also, with it being so low to the ground, any potential issues there? I wonder if it would bottom-out getting it into our driveway to load up for a trip.

    Thanks!
  • Really impressed with the coach and price. The only minor negative issue that I noticed was the 50 gallon water tank which would make dry camping difficult after a few days.
  • Thor Motor Coach has been awesome, We are on our 3rd Damon/Thor motorhome about to purchase a 4th. Daybreak, Intruder, ACE, and soon the Palazzo. We sold our business and are going full time, so we wanted to go to a smaller, easy to drive rear diesel. The Palazzo fits the bill. We should be picking it up at the beginning of April.

As for the support and quality over the years, we have had excellent experiences so far. After hearing so many bad stories on forums you would think RV makers are evil. I really believe that the Damon and now Thor Motorcoach's support folks have to be the best in the industry. I don't know why none of the other motorhome manufactures offer factory direct 24 hour tech support. They all should offer it, even if it's extra. Heck, even when we purchased our ACE a year ago they just called us to ensure everything was going well and asked about the dealership. When I purchased my wife's BMW, the manufacturer didn't contact us. After the purchase they assign you support concierge, Sheila is ours, she's been fantastic. Thor Motor Coach has really been pushing to make the owner experience a big deal ever since merging 4 Winds and Damon. I'm glad to see the manufacturers focusing on repeat business.

I've been a proud supporter of Damon ever since they were just the small new kid in the motorhome market. I've seen them grow up and now they are the top dog. They survived the economic down turn so they must been handling there books well too. I believe they have always been a great company, they have some of the longest running motorhome brands.

As for the Palazzo, $139,000 to 159,000, there's not a lot of options. We have only had the 29.1 Ace for a year now, but its been a fantastic coach. It's the only one I could ever get my wife to drive. That's why we are going for the Palazzo, it's small enough to go anywhere and it's easy to drive. Shower size has always been important to us, and the Palazzo has the same sized shower that we do in our 2nd Bathroom. I loved the storage, it looks easy to access, and it's bright. I wish there was an option for LED interior lights.

I normally watch a lot of videos when shopping but I've been unable to find much on the Palazzo, the literature doesn't really go into any detail but here's Thor's blog page that takes a lot about it: Link to a Walk Around Review of the Palazzo's with 360 pix

Send me a message if you have any questions, I think I know more about my coaches than most salesmen.

    Best of Luck.

What sort of price are you quoted for the Pallazzo? Curious.

Why pay more when you can get the same or better quality and better factory service?

Can't speak to this unit specifically, but Thor is awesome as a manufacturer. Truly some of the best customer service I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and they stand behind their product. I would definitely buy another unit from them.
