The recall is associated with the Battery Control Center (BCC) specifically the chassis battery disconnect. Should the disconnect solenoid fail while driving the engine will loose DC power and shut down. There's a long thread on
IRV2 in the Thor Industries Owner's Forum. I have not read thru everything posted on the forum but it looks like the fix is to bypass the solenoid rather than replacing it with something stouter. The end result will be the chassis battery disconnect switch will no longer work and if the owner wishes to isolate the chassis battery they will either need to manually disconnect the battery terminal or install a manual disconnect at their expense.
Not too happy with the low cost solution in that it removes a much needed feature of the BCC. More or less they fixed a symptom but not the problem.
