Thor Vegas/Axis engine Batt.removal thru hood.
Yes, it can be removed thru the front hood opening if you don't want to 'SAW' thru the inside dash top. The battery height must be less than 7.3/4 inches high. Unplug MoHo from 115 Volt Ac. Put switch in the Storage Mode. Under the step, push the Aux. batt. disconnect button. Open the hood.
1. Remove the 2 large air vent hoses. 2. Remove the 2 screws from the Air Conditioner expansion bottle. Move bottle to the left of the battery and push the 2 hoses behind the batt. 3. Remove the 1 front bolt from the black angle iron support arm and slide the arm to the right as far as it will go. 4. Remove the ground and 12 volt cables from the batt. Also remove the additional 12 volt cable from the positive connector and insolate with lots of rubber tape.(Lay this cable to the left of the Batt. 5. If not already present, slide a strong strap under the batt. and tie tight atop Batt. to provide a lifting strap. 6. Apply electrical tape to the Batt. Post to insolate them just to be on the saft side when lifting the Batt. Lift it up, slide forward and out. :B
