- craig7hNomad III have a 2017 30' Thor ACE with one full length slide. There has been alot of talk on the Thor forum about the Schwintek slide system. It seems that at the start they were only putting one track on the top and the bottom. They have made neccessary changes by putting two tracks on top and one on the bottom.
The key is you have to follow the mfg directions for the slide to operate the way it should. The main other than leveling the coach you have to make sure you NEVER stop the slide during its travel path. You have to let it run its path and keep the button pushed well after its finished. The reason for this it the motors have to stay in sinc with one and other, very important.
I have not had any trouble with my slide as of this point. - ScottGNomadSomeday I would really like to see how they build the header for an opening like that.
- bullydogs1ExplorerIf that has the schwintek slides with the aluminum rails..run and don't look back...way too much slide for them with many issues, as schwinteks are made for small slides only and Thor just way overextended it..Do a google on schwintek problems...and what they look like..

You're right they just can't do any better. I had a Journey that was a 2013 with that Schwintek slide. Dumped it because it was nothing but problems. Was recently gonna buy a 2013 Meridian 42E but service advisor said this was the 3rd time it has been in the shop for slide tracks and motors. That is why I purchased my 2012 . . . Power Gear Slides that work. - Mile_HighExplorerFull wall slide on Schwinteck version 1 - RUN

That Thor Windsport is an excellent value in an entry level motorhome. The full wall slide had been somewhat problematic when first introduced, but have read little about issues recently. Extending the slide requires you follow the manufacturer's directions exactly, which usually means leveling and stabilizing the coach before extending. - Ranger_SmithExplorerAnything Thor I'de be concerned with . . . RUN
That is just my opinion
