Thoughts on 2005/2006 Cummins ISM 500/ Allison 4000?

My wife and I are seriously considering the purchase of a nice used 2006 Newmar Essex pusher with very low millage.
I’m not familiar with the Cummins ISM but living in Colorado I really want a combination with the power to run in the mountains without overheating or blocking up traffic.

Any other thoughts on Newmar and the Essex’s built in this era, quality or problem areas that I should look at before the purchase?

    Thanks everyone for the tips I appreciate it. I really checked out and drove the coach and really can’t find any faults with it. It really is exactly the high quality and condition that were locking for.

    But now my DW is having anxiety attacks over the total cost of this purchase. It’s a shame because were not very far apart and the seller has already come down some. She feels we should wait until winter and see it we can find something just as good for about 10k less.
