threaded opening between Cummins and Allyson Transmission

So last night started getting ready for a trip to Arizona and started the 2001 American Coach Tradition and when I walked outside of the coach, diesel fuel on the ground. As I looked further I notice...

Maybe some don't or maybe the last guy to work on the eng left it out.
Every Cummins I've seen has had one - usually a hard rubber plug.
