Tiffin Allegro Roof Leaks

Have a 2006 Allegro 32 BA Tiffin MH. 3rd Owner. Only 22,ooo Miles on it. 1st owner had it 6Yrs,Second-11/2 Yrs. Got it with 19,000 Miles in Nov 2014. The problem we are having is the ceiling panels on the inside are coming Down. Looks like water is getting in from the Fiberglass Roof or the side Radius Panels. Have one that is down about 2 inches, so you can see that the plywood has come apart. So the leak has been for a long time.
Has anyone had problems with Tiffins. We have just learned that they now use a 1 Pc Fiberglass roof which rounds over the side walls onto the walls. We had the Roof checked and the Mechanic said the roof looks sealed. Could it be that we have a Fiberglass roof that has a defect?
  • By all means call Tiffin, great CS.

I thought we had a roof leak.

However, discovered the AC seep holes were clogged. Tiffin Tech cleared the blockage, problem solved.

Build-up of moisture/water was forced inside the ac, and lower ceiling liner, and bed got wet.

We caught it early enough, not to cause major damage.
  • Ours is an 03, and all seams look very good. Never had any leakage problem. I check all seams and clearance lights every spring and fall.

My guess is that the previous owners sealed up the seams really good AFTER they had leakage problems, but didn't fix the damage that you are now seeing.
  • Thanks for the replies. We bought a Tiffin in part because of its name and CS, and in fact arrived in Red Bay a little under two weeks ago and are now waiting for an opening...about 20 units ahead of us.

Appreciated the "heads up" on the AC unit issues. Currently we believe they put a condensation pipe in for the AC's. Does anyone know if that is in the 2006 models? Is there a way for owners to clean the pipes or can it only be done by a tech? (The owner's manual doesn't address cleaning AC unit Condensation Pipe.)Our ceiling damage is only noticed in the areas where the ceiling looks wavy...like warped cardboard backing...and hanging down
up Front from driver's to Passenger seat, in the middle over Microwave thru to bathroom, and across to Dinette and in the very rear portion of the coach ceiling. Our AC unit is not in the middle, but between front and middle over entry door area. We have never found any water stains anywhere on the ceiling, and there are 4 (4ft)ceiling panels that look like the day they were installed.

Puzzling. Looks as an AC issue would be easier to solve. Hope that is all it is.+
