Tiny Holes in Awning

I have about six tiny holes in my awning that really are not a big deal but they bug the you know what out of me. Is there any type of simple fix, other than duct tape ha ha, that would be satisfactory? The holes are about the size of a pin head and likely wouldn't bother anyone but me!

    I use sail repair tape
    Buy from a marine store
    Lasts for years

    the holes in the awning happened to me...
    after i installed a new awning...
    apparently the birds thought the new awning smelled like food...
    my next rv will have a metal awning cover. for when it's in the stored position...

    The holes come from birds, most likely Wood-peckers, pecking on ours when the awning is stored, All the holes line up in the same location of the awning.

    It would probably help if the awning came with the cover that many newer ones have.

    I used a Rustoleam latex spray product that I sprayed on at least 6 years ago and it is still holding up. It was a white latex spray.

    Awning repair tape will turn black and look worse than the holes.

    Thats a feature! It allows excess moisture to drain thru.... ;-/

    I got a vinyl repair kit from an RV store that contained some clear vinyl tape and a tube of glue. I repaired a small tear with the tape and it lasted over a year, then I sold the motor home. I used a small drop of the glue to fix a small hole and that also lasted until I sold the RV.

    The proper color of a quality duct tape will serve your needs. Just replace as needed.

    That awning tape will fall off in no time. Yep, I tried it on a recommendation here but it just won't last. Gorilla Tape now makes a clear tape that is just the ticket. It has a thick adhesive layer and this stuff really works.
