From what I've read I agree with this post with one caveat. It depends on how the tires were stored. If they're exposed to UV (direct sunlight) or near electrical motors that create ozone, they may have degraded.

I'll still with the fact that buying only rv tires is wasting money. RV tires means they get to charge you more. You'll really get a better deal looking at truck tires off the RV tires only choices.

Here we have some facts, very nice. Also MH mag recomends starting the time when they are installed. I have been doing this for 22 years of RVing, never had a problem.

No one said they only make the RV tires "1 day of the yr", they may however, only make a particular brand/type/size of tire in a single production run each year. A production run might last a week, or it could last a month or more, depending on the projected sales volume until the next scheduled run.

Michelin bases their recommendation as to when tires should be replaced NOT on when they were installed, but when they were manufactured.
Once a tire is manufactured, neither Michelin nor any other manufacturer, has any idea how their tires are stored and what the warehouse conditions are. Is the warehouse heated and cooled or is the warehouse subject to high and low temperatures as experienced in many locations in the USA. What is the humidity, etc?

I just bought a set of Michelins, about nine months old. When I questioned the age they put me in contact with the rep, according to the rep they make RV tires once a year.

They had just started gearing up for this year and if I wanted a newer date code I would have to wait two to three months.

The date on all my Toyo's are on the inside also. Luckly I looked at them before they were put on.
