Yes I have also watched the Michelin video many times and I have attended classes at the fmca rallies which state you have to accelerate when you get a blowout and they are probably right. I have never had a blowout on my RV so I really can not testify about the handling.
BUT! I was just studying to renew my drivers license in California and that was one of the questions that popped up. So I chose the answer that you have to accelerate when you get a blow out. WRONG! The correct answer was to let off the accelerator and bring your vehicle to a safe stop.
So here I was so positive I had the correct answer and according to the test I was wrong.
