From what i have read, using a tire allows natural oils etc to be released and keeps the tire from dry rot and cracking of the side wall. The tires on a rv sit for extended periods of time and do not get the benefits of being driven allows. My tires are always covered at home, while traveling i dont cover them. My usual rv park stay is not more than 3 days while on our big trip
