Toads

Looking for a used flat towable vehicle. {2004-2006}
Appreciate all suggestions. Near Las Vegas,NV
  • Don't forget to consider the weight of the toad .Can you drive a stick? Really increases the choices. Just make sure you confirm the towability of the toad. My Chevy Sonic spells it out right in the manual that it is flat towable and what needs to be done.

    Billkaufman, look at a 2004,5 or 6 ford explorer. we have been towing ours with the neutral towing kit installed and computer programed for 12 years with no problems. I will find the ford part number a post it in a day or two. cost was $250.00 for kit and an hours labor to flash the computer at my local ford dealer. good luck, oilcan

    Thank you Oilcan. Will look for part #. We have an 04 Explorer
  • We vote for the Jeeps...Had an o4 wrangler and then went to 2002 Liberty LTD 4x4.
    We are second owners of the Jeep. Pull up behind motorhome, lock in Falcon 2 tow bar and cables. Install electric cord for lights. Back up gently to engage tow bar lock outs. Turn off key, bump 4x4 selector to neutral, restart to make sure we are in neutral. Turn off key again, place automatic trans in Park, move ignition key from off to 1st position....WE READY TO TOW!

    Side note....rear stoplenses have bottom compartment (vacant) to install your running lights..on ours I preferred to wire separately under frame back to the lights
