Next step..get something like an expired credit card and work it around the rubber seal. Probably a little paper or seed that is caught. Don't be to aggressive by using a small putty knife or metal object. They do free themselves sometimes. Pour just a little palm oil or coconut oil just enough to cover drain might help free it also. If not successful might have to wait till whatever disintergrates or if it really bugs you pull and wipe off rubber gasket which is a hassle.
