Tow bar? Dolly ?or enclosed trailer?

I would agree with the tow bar and forget the motorcycles, or I have seen a motorcycle carrier on the back of the motor home with a tow car also. You could take one that way and still have the tow car.
We have towed a Pontiac Sunfire for years. Automatic, four wheels down and we would never go anywhere without it following behind. It does not effect mileage when towing at all.

x2 many towing and a lift for a motorcycle

Before you tow the fusion check with Ford , some 2011 have had transmission problems after towing 4 down.

If it were me and I liked my motorcycle I would set up the F150 to be towed and put the motorcycle in the back of the truck. We have a friend that does just that.

Actually the pu trk with toys in the back is a great option because I plan on going west next winter and would like to take a quad runner.
I just as soon not take any toys this winter in Florida.
Looking for the simplest and easiest way to take a vehicle.

Didn't think a Fusion with automatic was tow-able 4 down. I have both, an auto hauler and a dolly. My personal choice would be the dolly and hind sight being 20/20, I'd have gotten one with a surge brake instead of the electric brake system. I find it's easier to navigate with the dolly and most of it's length stashes under the rear of the RV when disconnected at a park.

Thanks Mustang, is there a best dolly to buy and is there one that can do a 4wd 4 door F-150?

We also have a 20ft enclosed for the motorcycles and a MasterTow dolly for the Volvo wagon. Which one we take depends on our plans for the trip. Went to Sturgis,SD so the enclosed trailer was it. Traveled up the East coast so the MasterTow dolly was it.
As for which tow dolly is best? Depends who you talk to. Everyone has their preferences. I got a MasterTow dolly because it was readily available near me. I can load/unload in minutes. Practice makes perfect.

Not sure about putting and automatic 4x4 on a dolly. You'd have to check with Ford or maybe some one can chime in with an answer. I bought a Master Tow from Camping world five years ago and I've done nothing but general maintenance, lube and replaced the tie down straps and one set of tires. Demco and Stehl are the other names I remember and from what I've seen and their prices, I think that they are better dollies.

I know you don't have a TT, but the most imaginative setup I have ever seen was a pickup truck with an MG Midget in the bed of the truck, towing a TT. They were camped about 5 spots down from us. I watched him load the MG into the pickup when they were ready to pull out.

To keep this on your subject, a tow bar is better than a dolly. I have used each one. I had a dolly for 3 years when I bought my MH. I have now used a tow bar for 3 years. I would use a dolly again if needed, but not happily.
