Tow Dolly Lights

I recently purchased a Kar Kaddy tow dolly and I'm finding out that it would be a good idea to add an additional set of lights to the back of the vehicle I'm towing. My dolly has permanently mounded LED lights and my MH has a 7 pin plug and I have an adaptor to get to a flat 4 pin for the trailer lights to connect to. My question is where would be the best place to plug in the additional set of lights. My dolly is equipped with surge breaks.
  • If you are going to add lights on the back of the car just plug them into your 7 pin to 4 pin adapter. There is no need to keep the lights working on the dolly when the added light are in the back of the car. One suggestion is to pad the wires that will be running over the top of the car as the wire may damage the paint on the roof and the hood. Simple foam taped to the wire works fine.
  • With the extra set of lights the extra electrical load could causes fuses to blow. Give it a try, you won't know until you try it.
